Brett Frieman, D.O.
Brett Frieman, D.O. graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biology in 1996 and he received his D.O. degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2000. Dr. Frieman completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the UMDNJ/New Jersey Medical School and has been in practice in Red Bank for over 15 years. Dr. Frieman is a comprehensive, Board-Certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive surgery (LASIK), cataract surgery, retinal disease, corneal disease, uveitis, and glaucoma. He also performs annual eye exams and contact lens fittings.
Dr.Frieman is the Chief of the Ophthalmology Department at Riverview Medical Center where he is also an attending physician on staff. Additionally, he serves as an attending physician at Bayshore Hospital and Jersey City Medical Center. Also, he teaches Rutgers Ophthalmology residents at Jersey City Medical Center the art and science of eye surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and a member of the NJ Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Frieman has been married to his wife, Amy, for over 19 years. She is the Director of Palliative Care at Hackensack Meridian Hospital System, Neptune. His outside interests include hanging out with his two children, tennis, and cheering for the NY Jets.
